Hey, I’ve got two cartoons in the current Reader’s Digest!
Here’s one, and here’s the other.
As an added bonus, here’s an email I got on the second one:
Can you explain the cartoon with all the turkeys at a party all with nametags that say “Hi I’m Tom”?
Is it the whole male turkeys called Toms thing, and if so, is that funny?
Yes, that’s funny.
(BTW, the person who emailed me? You guessed it: Tom.)

Two? They should have ditched Tim Allen's photo and printed yours. Congratulations.
I dunno, I think I'll pass on the "private tragedy" & "personal triumph" and just draw bananas interviewing for jobs in pleasant anonimity.
Congrats on the double! I like that "Tom" cartoon!
The deadly new game kids play: rock, paper, flame thrower!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!…Two cartoons in the same issue of READERS DIGEST!…That's AMAZING!…Your cartoons are GREAT and the "HI TOM TURKEYS" were brilliant!…Thanks for the Laughs and All the Best from the HOYBOYS!
I really think you should do a sequel to that "HI! MY NAME'S TOM" cartoon. Here's my idea: in this new "sequel," it's Thanksgiving and the table has a row of steaming hot roast turkeys, all with little nametags on them saying, "HI! MY NAME *WAS* TOM."
Hee hee.
LOL! Flame thrower…
Thanks for all the kudos everyone!
And I like that idea Mikey!
Turkeys are funny. I'm curious–do you think some animals are funnier than others? A few days ago I quoted G. K. Chesterton on turkeys–

I think he said it all!
I think cows are funny, but Larson did so many so well that it's hard to do them now.
I'll have to keep thinking on this, but I agree – turkeys are an enigma.
