This is a category for me to post some quick reflections on the ups and down of being an independent cartoonist.

Like – I just sold a cartoon for a presentation in New Zealand. Gotta love the internet!

There's a lot I could say. There are a lot of markets I like, a lot of editors I like, and pretty much every cartoonist — old pro and newbie — are good fellows/women. And, of course, there are some bad markets, and editors who won't return calls, and … well, I could go on and on. But for now, I'll say:
Like: Make my own schedule, can draw in my jammies, etc.
Dislike: Banks scared of freelancers — regardless of longevity or income.
