“Scientists have taught dolphins to combine both rhythm and vocalisations to produce music, resulting in an extremely high-pitched, short version of the Batman theme song. ”
Honestly this all makes sense when you think about it. I submit this heartfelt quote from 1966’s “Batman: The Movie”:
Robin: Gosh Batman, the nobility of the almost-human porpoise.
Batman: True, it was noble of that animal to hurl himself into the path of that final torpedo. He gave his life for ours.
“…John would have bought and funded his own art college in Liverpool, where there would be no exams and all the students had to produce were cartoons. It would now be world famous.”
This according to an article at The Independant, and I’d like to believe that it would be true.
As good a cartoonist as Bob Mankoff is, I’d wager he’s an even better businessman, even if he’s not buying my stuff.
An article at MarketWatch.com isn’t going to surprise those in the gag cartoon know, but you gotta admire how often Bob is in the press (even if that photo seems a tad dated).
