Ho-Ho-Homicide!
There’s nothing I don’t like about this 1990 Iron Man cover:
You’d think Santa shooting some sort of laser gun at ol’ Shellhead would be great enough, but then they top themselves with "Ho-Ho-Homicide!" at the bottom!
Excelsior indeed!
Here’s a quick synopsis in case you’re as confused as I was:
After undergoing a grueling, deadly elimination competition at the Taskmaster’s Academy, the survivor is named the new Spymaster. In order to graduate, Spymaster must steal the top Christmas ornament at Tony Stark’s party. In the attempt, Spymaster encounters and battles the Invincible Iron Man. In order to preserve personal safety of his guests and children present, and perhaps in the spirit of Christmas, Stark allows Spymaster to leave with the bauble.
Merry Christmas, Spymaster!
Superman Christmas Record
Gather round, kids, it’s story time!
Today is the Superman story, "Light Up the Tree, Mr. President" –
The Annual tree-lighting ceremony on the White House Lawn is about to begin. As the President speaks of peace on earth and good will toward men, he and all around him are unaware that a vengeful, deranged scientist has secretly connected the button that turns the lights on the tree to the button that launches missiles that can start World War III. Only Superman can prevent the greatest tragedy of all time.
OK, everyone sitting pretzel style? Hands folded? Let’s listen!

What’s not to love about this 1983 Spider-Man Dallas Times Herald supplement?!
I’m curious if that was for Dallas only(?) or if it was available to other papers as well? Looks like Marvel only did these for a few years, and it was spotty at best.
Anyone have any other info on the Marvel Newspaper Network?
And, oh yes, I LOVE the Kingpin Santa! Hee-hee!
(Thanks to Comics ‘n’ Things for the heads up!)
Red’s Planet #1!
The very first issue of inky pal Eddie Pittman’s incredible comic, Red’s Planet, is now available for pre-orders!
I was lucky enough to land a copy at OSU a few weeks back, and I gotta tell you, it’s just beautiful work. Please don’t miss this opportunity to snap it up!
