I love Chris Giarrusso‘s stuff, so imagine my joy at seeing the image below:

The cartoon blog of Andertoons cartoonist Mark Anderson. He discusses his cartoons, cartooning, comics and, oddly enough, LEGO.

There’s nothing I don’t like about this 1990 Iron Man cover:
You’d think Santa shooting some sort of laser gun at ol’ Shellhead would be great enough, but then they top themselves with "Ho-Ho-Homicide!" at the bottom!
Excelsior indeed!
Here’s a quick synopsis in case you’re as confused as I was:
After undergoing a grueling, deadly elimination competition at the Taskmaster’s Academy, the survivor is named the new Spymaster. In order to graduate, Spymaster must steal the top Christmas ornament at Tony Stark’s party. In the attempt, Spymaster encounters and battles the Invincible Iron Man. In order to preserve personal safety of his guests and children present, and perhaps in the spirit of Christmas, Stark allows Spymaster to leave with the bauble.
Merry Christmas, Spymaster!
I’m not normally a Spidey black costume guy, nor do I pretend to understand Spider-Girl (Spider-Woman is another matter), but this is just awesome:
Apparently:
Anya Corazón gets her ongoing series as the new Spider-Girl in the Marvel U. The series will begin in November and it’ll be written by Paul Tobin and illustrated by Clayton Henry.
Might just have to pick that up!
Thanks to Marvel’s Lady Liberators.
From across the pond come these wonderful cards from the Daily Mirror. I’d write something funny here, but I can’t top Mike Lynch’s comment on the above:
I wish my crotch went "ZAPT!!"
Hee-hee-hee!
Also, just a heads up that this is likely the last set of cartoon/comic cards I’ll be posting. After years of scouring Ebay and elsewhere, endless scanning, and some expense, I think I’ve just about gotten everything interesting out there.
They’re all up at Flickr of course, and they’ll remain there, but I think I’m changing my Thursday blogs to more general cartoon and comic stuff.
Hope you’ve enjoyed them all!
