A ha! Here you thought the Pogo countdown was this year’s only holiday treat!
Not so! From today until Christmas, Mondays through Fridays, I’ll be posting pages from a 1941 Eisner comics insert showcasing "The Christmas Spirit: A Trilogy", a holiday themed "Lady Luck," and an X-mas "Mr Mystic." Hope you like ’em!

Every year I try to find something really interesting for the holidays that I can sort of parcel out in small chunks until Christmas; kind of a cartoon blog Advent calendar.
Last year it was Spaceman Discovers Christmas. The year before, 1951 Popular Comics Holiday Cards.
This year it’s a poster I found titled "Christmas ‘Countdown’ with Pogo & Friends."
It was put out by Publishers-Hall syndicate here in Chicago. No idea on the year.
So stay tuned as the Andertoons Cartoon Blog and Pogo countdown how many shopping days are left. It begins on Sunday!

What’s not to love about this 1983 Spider-Man Dallas Times Herald supplement?!
I’m curious if that was for Dallas only(?) or if it was available to other papers as well? Looks like Marvel only did these for a few years, and it was spotty at best.
Anyone have any other info on the Marvel Newspaper Network?
And, oh yes, I LOVE the Kingpin Santa! Hee-hee!
