R2D2 LEGO Mosaic Finished

OK, so my R2D2 LEGO Mosaic is all done! WOO!

Here’s a pic of the finished product:

The boy is thrilled! And I’m pretty pleased with it myself.

Now I have to think of one for the girl…

More than halfway done now:

Above is a project I’m working on for the boy to hang in his room. It’s a custom LEGO mosaic of R2D2.

When it’s all done it’ll measure about 23″ tall and 15″ wide and take 3456 1×1 LEGO plates, plus three larger baseplates.

I have to go order some more plates; more pics soon!

I saw the show in Chicago, and it was a little uneven. But after seeing the opening number on Letterman…

…and reading this new review, I’m hoping it’s heading back to Chicago soon so I can see it again!
