Ran across SuperHeroStuff.com this morning and noticed this almost immediately:

The very next button after the traditional “Home?” “3X T-shirts.”

Doesn’t do much for the Comic Book Guy-esque image of fanboys, does it?

(That being said, there’s a few t-shirts I have my eye on! But only in XL, thank you.)

Zippity-Zuda, Zippity Eh?

Zuda Tom Spurgeon writes about an article today in the Times wherein DC Comics announces its new Zudacomics.com.

Launching in October, some bullet points listed include:

Zuda Comics will be all-new, original comics made specifically for the web.
Zuda Comics will collect submissions from the Zuda community â€” that means you. You make the web comics and send them to us for publication.
Not only that, but the majority of comics we publish will be selected by the Zuda community. We’ll put up a batch of the comics you submitted each month. Then you and all of the other users will vote, comment, and rate the comics. The one you guys like the best is the one we’ll sign up for a one-year contract.

I dunno, you see this type of thing a lot, and I’m really hoping this works out for somebody (and I have to admit, even I am a little tempted), but I’m skeptical.

I think I’ll wait to see what the one-year contract includes.

Taste Visualization for Pixar’s Ratatouille

Especially when I see stuff like Michel Gagne’s “abstract representations of what the character was tasting” at his site. Don’t miss this amazing inside look!

Illustration Is Topps

There’s a nice piece on the latest in the Topps tussle in the Chicago Tribune.

But what really stood out to me was the fantastic accompanying illustration! (Click the image for a nice large look.)

Cartoon Chair-man

I spent a fair amount of time at the drawing board and at the computer, and lately I’ve noticed that as I unfold my 6’4″ frame from the $50 desk chair that I use as both locations, that my back is really starting to hurt.

So I decided to splurge a bit and get myself some new sittin’ stuff!

Is that funky or what?! (BTW, mine is gonna be orange! Hoo-hoo!)
