Happy Birthday to Me!
OK, so it’s my birthday today. And for anyone who’s counting, I’m 39.
I don’t normally announce it here at the blog, but this year I have some beautiful stuff from a 1945 Happy Birthday comic/magazine from Best Books over at Flickr. It’s just kinda good timing.
There’s some great cartoons, some even better pin-ups, a some fun horoscopes! Go check it out! It’s my present to you!
How To Draw Batman
Here’s a recent how-to on drawing Batman from my 6-year-old son, commonly referred to as “the boy.”

Daily Mirror Marvel Top Trumps Cards
From across the pond come these wonderful cards from the Daily Mirror. I’d write something funny here, but I can’t top Mike Lynch’s comment on the above:
I wish my crotch went "ZAPT!!"
Hee-hee-hee!
Also, just a heads up that this is likely the last set of cartoon/comic cards I’ll be posting. After years of scouring Ebay and elsewhere, endless scanning, and some expense, I think I’ve just about gotten everything interesting out there.
They’re all up at Flickr of course, and they’ll remain there, but I think I’m changing my Thursday blogs to more general cartoon and comic stuff.
Hope you’ve enjoyed them all!
$17.76 Presentation Sale
Break out the fife and drums, somebody’s got a birthday coming up!
Yes, in just about a month the good ol’ US of A will turn 234 years old. And to celebrate, Andertoons.com is giving you a present!
Normally our cartoons for presentations and PowerPoints go for a reasonable $30 per. But from June 28th through July 4th, their creator is endowing them with the unalienable price of $17.76 each! Talk about pursuing happiness!
It’s still a ways off, but you might want to declare it on your calendar.
