My in-laws are just back from vacation and sent over these incredible pics of some sort of car built by Smokey Stover’s Bill Holman:
The best info I could find is below:
The Nappanee Public Library has a permanent cartoon exhibit in the Heritage Center that features the work of the cartoonists from Nappanee. Their work has also been featured in the traveling cartoon exhibit, called “Indiana’s Cartoons and Cartoonists, ” which was sponsored by the Indiana Historical Society.
I’ve been promised a brochure next time we see them. Hopefully there’s more in there.
Anyway, thought this was fun.

Wow! What a COOL find!
Bill Holman settled in Long Island in later life. He was a member of the LI NCS chapter, the Berndt Toast Gang.
Just pulled these 2 pages up off the Web.
There’s a plaque outside the library with more information on Nappanee cartoonists:
The Indiana Historical Society has a traveling exhibit of Indiana cartoonists and cartoons:
Ooh! More Foo-mobiles!
