One of the things about being a cartoonist is that family occasionally asks for a cartoon or a graphic they can use.
My mother-in-law asked me a few days ago if I could throw together a quick little graphic to use for her department’s fiscal-year-end goodie bag. She said they were referring to it as their “survival kit,” so I cobbled this together in Photoshop this morning:
What’s fun about stuff like this, is I sort of get license to try out some stuff I don’t normally use. This was created entirely with shapes and text (and the hospital’s logo), which, for a vector ignorant fellow like myself, was a bit of a personal triumph. I learned a bit more about layer styles and text-to-path too, so I feel good.
I know the Survivor logo has been ripped off a million times, but I think it turned out well.
