Mike Lynch has a great bunch of pics from last week’s Bunny Bash. Go check out the party-goers and the Hoest-ess with the most-est!
One of the things I love most about Clay Bennett is how deceptively simple his cartoons are. I think another editorial cartoonist would have beaten you over the head with gaudy art and lazy labels, but Bennett is beautifully, quietly devastating, and you just have to admire that.
I love Andy Richter. For my money he’s one of the funniest comic actors out there.
There’s a nice interview with him on NPR today, and this quote especially jumped out at me:
“If you start to just aim for what the audience wants to hear, you’re already hamstrung.”
“So the only thing you can do is do something that you think is funny. And I don’t mean, become a big artist, but do try to tickle your own funny bone as much as you can, and hope that you have a sense of humor people can relate to.”
